The Housing Marketplace with Zillow's Chief Economist

We know it’s a hot housing market – but how hot is it? Zillow’s Chief Economist, Dr. Svenja Gudell spoke to members at the June Business Lunch and gave insights into how our area compares across the country and a look at the latest real estate trends in our marketplace. A few highlights: the Seattle/Bellevue area is the hottest market in the country in terms of housing growth and appreciation; the annual rental growth rate is strongest in the Pacific Northwest at a 7% rental appreciation rate; and Millennials, who comprise the largest group of first time home buyers, believe buying a home is the best financial investment they can make.
