Mayor Robinson Joins Chamber PLUSH Committee

PLUSH,

Bellevue Mayor Lynne Robinson joined the Bellevue Chamber PLUSH (Permitting, Land Use, Sustainability, and Housing) Committee last week to discuss Bellevue’s growth and the strategies the Council is considering to address it. Mayor Robinson said it best – she is feeling “bullish on Bellevue in 2022.”

The PLUSH Committee shared its work plan for 2022 with the mayor; which includes enhancements to Bellevue’s Affordable Housing Policies; updates to the City’s Comprehensive Plan; work on the Wilburton rezone and Bel-Red lookback; permitting and inspection process improvements; and other ways to expedite the development and the construction of more affordable housing within the city.

This week, the Chamber’s PLUSH Committee launched its Wilburton/Bel-Red workgroup charged with gathering data and developing a set of specific recommendations to the Council. If you’re interested in joining the workgroup, please contact Caitlin Gallagher at caitlin@bellevuechamber.org.
