A healthy workforce and healthy communities are good for business.

As employers and community partners, we recognize the role of excellent health care in the well-being of employees and their families, and we support efforts to improve care and insurance coverage.

Many small businesses have limited choices when it comes to providing health insurance for their employees. We urge the Legislature to protect and improve access to high quality, affordable health insurance that covers comprehensive physical and mental health needs.

Furthermore, elected officials from all levels of government must ensure that Washington has a sufficient health care workforce, by providing the necessary education and training opportunities to our students.
