Amazon, Microsoft Execs to Keynote Eastside Leadership Conference

Amazon’s vice president of public policy, Brian Huseman, and Microsoft’s president, Brad Smith, will keynote the two-day Eastside Leadership Conference next week.
The conference, which is Bellevue Chamber’s most popular event, will happen virtually from 8-10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, and from 8-9:15 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7.
Attendees can choose one of two breakout sessions three times during the conference, according to a news release from the chamber. Breakout sessions feature industry experts from major employers, public sector leaders, and various community organizations and professionals.
Breakouts include:
Changing Demographics: Jesse Canedo, City of Bellevue; Rajeev Rajan, Facebook; and Commissioner Sam Cho, Port of Seattle.
Tourism & Hospitality: Brad Jones, Visit Bellevue; Elaina Morris, Ascend Hospitality Group; and Joy Carpenter, Courtyard Bellevue Downtown.
Retail Innovation: Randi Brazen, Central Bar & Restaurant; Kemper Freeman, Kemper Development Co.; and Robert Harmon, Amazon.
Future of Learning: Sandeep Krishnamurthy, University of Washington – Bothell; Gary Locke, Bellevue College; Murali Krishnan, RapL Inc.; and Rachel Wortman Morris, Microsoft.
Infrastructure & Transportation: Councilmember Jennifer Robertson, City of Bellevue; Rep. Vandana Slatter, 48th Legislative District; Councilmember Claudia Balducci, King County; and Terry White, King County Metro Transit.

Prices for the conference start at $25 for Bellevue Chamber members and $35 for nonmembers. Virtual tables are available and include 10 specialized codes for attendees and recognition during the program. Tables start at $200 for chamber members and $300 for nonmembers.
