Professional Bio

Gavin Haines is the Government Affairs Specialist for the Bellevue Chamber. In this role, he supports the Chamber’s public affairs and advocacy initiatives.

Previously, Gavin completed an internship with the National Consortium for the Studies of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) in Washington, D.C. In this role, Gavin worked on Department of Defense grant, supporting research on Asymmetric and Irregular Warfare. This project revolved around researching Pro-Russian and Anti-Western propaganda surrounding human rights violations in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on social media platforms including Twitter, Telegram, Weibo.

Prior to his research work Gavin worked for Edge Delta, a SaaS startup in the DevOps and SRE space that focused on analyzing and monitoring telemetry data with AI. On the sales front, he served as the first business development hire and watch Edge Delta grow from their Series A round to Series B. His interpersonal skills and cross-functional capabilities serve him well in his passion in the dynamic and fast moving world of Government Affairs.

Gavin received his bachelors degree from the University of Washington with a major in Political Science, a focus in Economics, and a minor in International Relations.

In his spare time, Gavin is highly involved in the greater Seattle lacrosse community as a player, coach, and referee spanning from the youth leagues to the collegiate level.
