The Eastside Business Alliance, sponsored by the Bellevue Chamber, has announced the following early endorsements of pro jobs candidates in the 2019 Election in the following 5 races. Stay tuned for additional endorsements in the coming weeks.
1. Redmond Mayor – Angela Birney: Endorsed, Primary & General
First elected in 2015, Councilmember Birney has represented Redmond on regional bodies such as the Cascade Water Alliance, King County Board of Health and Eastside Transportation Partnership. These assignments have prepared her to serve as a strong mayor and will give her instant credibility with other elected officials in the region…
2. Renton Mayor – Endorsed, Primary
Randy Corman
Councilmember Randy Corman’s long-standing service on the City Council, along with his congenial approach to collaboration in government, is a welcomed approach in these tumultuous political times. We believe Corman’s voice would serve the city well.
Armondo Pavone
Councilmember Armondo Pavone’s 30 years of business ownership and community involvement, all in Renton, make him uniquely qualified to lead the executive office. His deep family roots in the community and his positive and inclusive attitude would serve the city well. Pavone is well positioned to continue the legacy of Mayor Denis Law, while further elevating Renton’s leadership role at the regional level.
Ruth Perez
Councilmember Ruth Perez has fire and passion for her service to the city. Her track record of reaching out and engaging with Renton residents has helped amplify an important and diverse voice in the community.
