1. Extreme Makeover: Website Edition
We’re excited to announce the launch of our brand new website. The site has been redesigned from the ground up to enhance user experience, improve mobile responsiveness, and keep relevant content in front of our members and the community.
2. It Was Never Fun to Stay Inside During Recess
Need a break? Join us at the first annual
Bellevue Recess
on August 21 from 4:30 – 7:30 in the parking lot of
520 Bar & Grill
for live music, a beer and wine garden, and your favorite summer lawn games. We’ll be raffling off some great prizes; keep an eye on the
event page
for an updated list of raffle items.
Worried about parking? We’ve got you covered. Lyft is providing a 25% off promo for anyone who registers.
3. Traffic, Interrupted
Construction season is in high gear and crews will be closing sections of I-405 in Downtown Bellevue this weekend in preparation for East Link light rail. Travelers should select alternate routes from Friday, August 16 through Monday morning, August 19.
4. Popcorn, Blanket, Movie: Check!
Grab the lawn chairs, blankets, and kids or grand kids and head to the Bellevue Downtown Park tonight to watch Ferdinand. Pre-movie entertainment begins at 7:30 pm and the movie will start at dusk.
Already have evening plans? Catch a different show Tuesdays at Bellevue Downtown Park, Thursdays at Crossroads Park, or Saturdays at Carillon Point.
5. Help a Neighbor, Help the Community
Join volunteers from across the Eastside community at Jubilee Reach’s annual Jubilee Service Day on August 24. Volunteers help with painting or yard work at local homes, prepare classrooms for the next year at public schools, and sew “chair pocket” organizers to distribute to local elementary schools.
