BASIS Independent middle schoolers win DOE’s National Science Bowl

Community, In the News,

Bellevue was well-represented in D.C. this last week, with our BASIS Independent middle schoolers winning the U.S. Department of Energy’s 34th National Science Bowl! Coached by Liping Ke and Ning Wu, the winning team of local smarties consisted of Gordon Bu, David Xiao, Katherine Long, Kevin Wu, and Timothy Wu.

“Congratulations to the wonderfully brilliant minds from BASIS Independent Bellevue and Lexington High School for winning the 2024 National Science Bowl,” said U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm. “If these incredible students are any indication, our clean energy future is in great hands.”
