Eastside Leadership Initiative launches Believe event for nonprofits

Community, Programs, Thought Leadership,

A new event being put on by the Chamber's Eastside Leadership Initiative (ELI), the bELIeve event is focused on connecting the next generation of leaders to nonprofit organizations on the Eastside.

How does it work?

Step 1: We kicked off the nonprofit-focused festivities with our Chamber Lunch on Thursday, April 18, "Nice to Necessary: Understanding the Nonprofit Business Model." At this event we highlighted not only the nonprofits featured on-stage as panelists, but those who have been chosen for the actual Believe showcase event as well.

Step 2: The big event! At our inaugural Believe get-together, we will be giving nonprofits the opportunity to connect with the next generation of volunteers, donors, and board members in a laidback, party atmosphere at the Bellevue Botanical Garden on Thursday, May 30.

Step 3: At our Annual Gala on Friday, June 14, we will be picking the winners of our Community Spotlight Awards, one of which will be a nonprofit that participated in the Believe event. (And if you didn't know, there ain't no party like a Chamber party.)

Other Nonprofit Happenings:

In addition to putting on our own events as outlined above, we are also helping promote our local nonprofits' events! Check out the directory of upcoming fundraisers, dinners, breakfasts, and much more here.
